The IP building automation systems supplied and supported by Advantex are pure IP systems connected directly to your IP network (switch) utilising the Power over Ethernet (PoE 802.3af) capability of your infrastructure. The system we support is Netgenium.
Netgenium is a manufacturer of pure, power over IP (PoE) products and solutions who has worked close with Advantex for over 5-years with the first install in education carried out by Advantex (City of Sunderland College). Inventors of the award winning pure IP PoE (Power over Ethernet) Access Control System, they continue to develop a range of IP enabling products which use IP and the LAN to control many elements of your building including: security, telephony, access and lighting.
Power over Ethernet - The IEEE802.3af PoE standard defines the specifications to deliver power over standard Ethernet cables. PoE means that our devices do not require a local power supply which saves you money.
With a pure IP PoE Door Entry system and pure IP Lighting Controller working with many IP CCTV / Network Cameras surveillance and IP Telephony systems including Cisco, Mitel, Milestone and Axis so you can now have a fully integrated system running on your IT network (Switches and Category 5e/6 cabling providing both power and data to the unit with a single cable). Doors can be opened remotely from a Cisco or Mitel IP telephone or from a PC.
