National Apprenticeship Week 2026 (NAW) is here, a nationwide celebration of the people, progress, and long-term impact apprenticeships create across the UK.
This year’s theme, Skills for Life, highlights how apprenticeships provide individuals with the technical, professional, and practical capabilities they need to build successful careers, while helping employers develop a resilient, future-ready workforce.
At Advantex, apprenticeships aren’t just a recruitment pathway; they’re part of our heritage. For more than two decades, apprentices have shaped our culture, strengthened our delivery, and played a key role in helping us support customers across IT, cyber security, connectivity, audio-visual, and network infrastructure.
Over the years, our programme has:
• Launched rewarding careers across engineering, IT support, projects, and installation
• Built a strong pipeline of technical talent with real-world experience
• Supported regional growth by addressing the digital and engineering skills shortage
• Created future leaders, with many progressing into senior, specialist, or supervisory positions
We’re proud to say that over 50 apprentices have come through Advantex, many of whom are still part of our team today, bringing experience, confidence, and expertise that began with their apprenticeship journey.
Development doesn’t stop once the apprenticeship ends. Our people continue to grow through specialist training with partners such as Cisco (CCNA, CCNP, Cisco ISE), Microsoft (Azure Solutions Architect), Milestone Systems, Axis Communications, and other vendor-accredited programmes. This continued investment keeps our teams sharp, capable, and ready to support customers with the highest standards of service.
Throughout NAW2026, we’ll be celebrating the journeys of our past apprentices, where they started and where they are now.
